BLADE Nano QX RTF Quadcopter

The tiny BLADE Nano QX RTF Quadcopter is flying fun you can take with you everywhere. The Nano QX weighs little more than half an ounce and is small enough to fly in spaces no bigger than an office cubicle.

Never flown a quad-copter before? No problem. The Nano QX uses the SAFE technology system with sophisticated flight control software to keep itself stable in a hover while in stability mode.

If you get in trouble, just let go of the sticks. The SAFE technology system will bring the Nano QX back to a hover all by itself. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can switch the SAFE system to agility mode for faster flying speeds and more maneuverability.

What is SAFE technology? SAFE stands for Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope and is central to the performance of the Nano QX. Even new pilots will feel comfortable with the Nano QX in stability mode because SAFE will make sure the quad is always in control and in an upright fashion. You will feel an immediate sense of confidence and be flying around like a pro in no time!

What We Liked Most about the Nano QX RTF Quadcopter

The small size of the Nano QX makes it great for indoor flying but where small light aircraft usually don’t do well outside in anything but the calmest of conditions, this tiny quadcopter holds its own even in a brisk breeze. As well the light weight of the quadcopter and the simple but rugged design makes it very crash friendly.

What We Did Not Like about the Nano QX RTF Quadcopter

The Nano QX quadcopter’s Li-Po batteries are not charged before shipping, so the first thing you will have to do is charge the batteries. The quadcopter is really too light to carry larger LED lights or a camera.

More about the Nano QX RTF Quadcopter

BLADE Nano QX RTF QuadcopterThis starter quadcopter is a fantastic way to satisfy some drone envy. If you haven’t decided on a quadcopter as yet because they look like loads of fun but a bit intimidating, especially given all the negative press recently, you should this one.

This mini version of a drone will let you get started without a lot of risk or investment. There is a learning curve to becoming adept at skillfully piloting one of these which can be a bit steep. So starting with this little quad is a great way to learn without spending a lot of money.

The Blade Nano quadcopter is able to handle a fair amount of mistakes and abuse with little or no damage. Perhaps most importantly, unlike the larger drones, this can be flown practically anywhere which makes it super convenient.

BLADE Nano QX RTF QuadcopterIt has been designed so you can replace all parts without a screwdriver. This includes, the frame, control board, motors, props, and canopy! The motors are attached to the controller by plugs so they can be replaced or upgraded easily. Other similar quads have their motors soldered to the board making them much more difficult to replace or upgrade. This is a major plus!

This quad is super light, flies really well, is capable of acrobatics if you enable that mode. It also won’t seriously injure you or your belongings when you crash into things. When you first learn to fly it you will have the most hilarious crashes you can imagine, and this thing will survive them all.
